DOHA — Fri, 05 Dec 2025

Google Cloud and Qatar’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) have formally renewed their strategic Master Framework Agreement (MFA), reaffirming their long-term collaboration to accelerate digital transformation across Qatar’s government sector. The agreement was signed at MWC Doha, reinforcing the role of secure cloud infrastructure and advanced artificial intelligence in supporting Qatar National Vision 2030.

The renewed partnership builds on the strong progress achieved since the launch of the Google Cloud Doha region, which has rapidly enabled government ministries and major national enterprises with scalable and secure cloud services. Under the extended agreement, government entities will continue to benefit from advanced cloud capabilities, with a stronger emphasis on generative AI, data analytics, and future-ready digital public services.

The renewal was announced during a high-level signing ceremony, followed by a keynote by Ghassan Kosta, Regional General Manager for Google Cloud Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, and Iraq. The announcement highlighted the strategic importance of the agreement in enabling government-led innovation and large-scale digital transformation initiatives.

The previous phase of the partnership has already delivered measurable impact across the public sector, demonstrating strong momentum for AI-driven transformation. With the renewed framework, MCIT and Google Cloud are deepening their commitment to advancing artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and data capabilities to support Qatar’s shift toward a knowledge-based digital economy.
