Zain Group Launches Kuwait’s First Fully Digital Motor Insurance App with Boubyan Takaful

Zain Group has officially launched Zain Insure, Kuwait’s first fully end-to-end digital motor insurance application, at NEXUS 2025 in Kuwait City. Developed in partnership with Boubyan Takaful Insurance, the app allows customers to complete their entire motor insurance journey digitally — from getting an instant quote and purchasing a policy to filing and tracking claims — all through a single, seamless platform.

The Zain Insure app enables users to buy and renew policies anytime, manage coverage, submit claims digitally, and securely access insurance documents without paperwork or physical branch visits. The launch represents a major step in Zain’s transformation into a full-fledged TechCo, expanding beyond telecom into customer-first digital lifestyle services.

This initiative is also one of Kuwait’s first large-scale digital insurance partnerships between a telecom operator and a financial services provider. Following the Kuwait launch, Zain Insure services will gradually expand into Bahrain, Iraq, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia, offering motor, device, and other insurance products based on local market needs.

Malek Hammoud, Chief Digital Investment Officer at Zain Group, said the launch reflects Zain’s continued investment in digital financial services and aligns with its “4WARD – Progress with Purpose” strategy. He added that Zain Insure represents a fast-growing, high-demand segment that supports financial inclusion and customer convenience.

Ebrahim Al-Khuzam, CEO of Boubyan Takaful, described the platform as a milestone for Kuwait’s insurance market, highlighting its role in driving fully digital, embedded insurance experiences. He noted that the partnership aims to move insurance beyond traditional models and integrate protection seamlessly into daily life through technology.

The launch also supports Kuwait Vision 2035 by accelerating digital transformation, promoting financial inclusion, and delivering more accessible, technology-driven insurance services. During NEXUS 2025, executives from both companies participated in a panel discussion on the future of digital insurance, addressing trust, regulation, and the evolving expectations of customers in a technology-led financial ecosystem.

Zain previously played a key role in advancing mobile financial services across several markets, and the launch of Zain Insure further strengthens its position as a regional digital services leader.
