Huawei’s AI Security Platform Powers Marjane’s Rapid Retail Expansion in Morocco

Marjane, Morocco’s largest supermarket chain, is accelerating one of the fastest retail expansion phases in its history and has turned to Huawei’s AI-powered security and connectivity platform to support its growth. With more than 130 stores across 30 cities and a plan to open 40–45 new branches each year, the retailer required a modern digital foundation capable of scaling securely and efficiently.

To meet these demands, Marjane adopted Huawei’s Xinghe AI Unified SASE solution, a platform that combines network connectivity and advanced cybersecurity. The move addresses a critical challenge the company faced as legacy systems struggled to handle rising transaction volumes, public internet dependencies, and growing cyber risks.

Previously, bringing a new store online could take more than a week. With Huawei’s plug-and-play architecture, Marjane can now activate new branches within minutes, dramatically accelerating expansion timelines. This rapid deployment capability is essential for a retailer adding dozens of stores annually.

Customer experience has also improved significantly. During peak sales periods, when point-of-sale transactions, loyalty programs, and real-time inventory systems surge, Huawei’s AI-driven traffic management ensures priority is given to critical services. This prevents system slowdowns, reduces checkout queues, and protects Marjane’s revenue during high-demand periods.

Security remains at the core of the transformation. Each Marjane store processes over 10,000 payment transactions daily, making data protection a top priority. Huawei’s platform introduces AI-based threat detection, advanced malware filtering, and stronger encryption for all communications between stores and headquarters. The system is designed to identify and respond to unfamiliar and evolving cyber threats in real time.

Huawei’s dedicated hardware further strengthens performance and security, ensuring high-speed, stable connectivity without affecting in-store customer services. Together, Marjane and Huawei are building a nationwide security and connectivity framework that spans retail outlets and data centers, supporting both operational resilience and sustained growth.

As Marjane continues its aggressive national rollout, the partnership with Huawei is positioning the retailer to scale faster, operate more securely, and maintain leadership in Morocco’s rapidly evolving retail landscape.
