Chairwoman of the Board of Kingdom Centre, Nada Alateegi, announced that the final phase of the comprehensive upgrade and redevelopment works at the iconic Riyadh landmark is nearing completion.
Alateegi said Kingdom Centre was never intended to be solely a shopping destination or business hub, but a space designed to deliver exceptional experiences. The upgrade elevates the destination to a new level of luxury, seamlessly integrating refined hospitality, high-end retail, and world-class business environments.
Inaugurated in 2001, Kingdom Centre began its modernisation project in April 2023. The redevelopment is being delivered in collaboration with leading global designers and renowned contractors, under the supervision of the Kingdom Centre management team to ensure the highest standards of quality and precision.
The upgrades were carried out in line with best-in-class safety practices while maintaining uninterrupted operations, ensuring visitor comfort and safety throughout the process. Alateegi noted that this approach reflects the vision and directives of Prince Alwaleed bin Talal and has contributed to the centre receiving several awards, including recognition for visionary design and development.
As part of the transformation, Kingdom Centre installed the largest fully integrated digital screen on the Kingdom Tower facades, operated exclusively in partnership with digital advertising and media solutions provider Rotana Signs. The screen serves as a global showcase highlighting Riyadh’s transformation and rising international profile.
Kingdom Centre is also home to the Four Seasons Hotel, one of the world’s most prestigious hospitality brands, as well as VOX Cinemas, purpose-built to world-class specifications aligned with the centre’s management vision.
The centre has further introduced the Al-Mamlaka Social Dining zone, which has become one of the region’s leading dining destinations. Developed to elevate the visitor experience, the Social Dining concept has been officially registered as the intellectual property of Kingdom Centre and has become a model for other investors.
In support of its digital transformation strategy, Kingdom Centre has also launched a mobile application and a dedicated visitor loyalty programme offering a range of benefits, aimed at strengthening long-term engagement.
Alateegi added that Kingdom Centre remains committed to setting benchmarks for the sector by delivering innovative experiences that support Saudi Arabia’s tourism ambitions and align with Saudi Vision 2030.
