Zain Kuwait leads 2025 in digital innovation and community impact

Zain Kuwait marked 2025 as a breakthrough year, translating its ‘4WARD – Progress with Purpose’ strategy into wide-ranging digital, social, and community impact. The company balanced advanced technology leadership with a strong human focus, aligning its initiatives with Kuwait’s national development priorities while remaining closely connected to the community.

On the technology front, Zain made major investments in digital infrastructure, launching 5G Advanced to support rising data demand, smart city development, and IoT applications. A standout milestone was Zain’s role in enabling the world’s longest-distance transcontinental robotic surgery between Kuwait and Brazil, a Guinness World Records achievement powered by high-capacity international connectivity. Zain also introduced the region’s first AI-powered digital assistant for radio site engineers, enhancing fault analysis and operational efficiency, alongside a major BSS digital upgrade and Kuwait’s first cloud-native OpenRAN trial in partnership with Rakuten Symphony.

The year brought strong global and regional recognition. Zain won five Ookla Speedtest awards, reinforcing its position as Kuwait’s fastest and best-performing network, alongside International Finance and Telecom Review awards for digital transformation, 5G Advanced, and customer experience. The company also retained its top ranking in the Service Hero customer satisfaction index for the 13th time and earned multiple Kuwait Creativity Awards for impactful media and artistic work.

Zain deepened its support for sports, notably through its official partnership with Khaleeji Zain 26, extensive backing of Kuwaiti football competitions, and incentives exceeding KD 60,000 for top-performing players. Its sports portfolio also expanded to tennis, padel, equestrian events, and fan support initiatives for the national team.

Youth empowerment remained a central pillar. Through partnerships with CODED Academy, INJAZ, LOYAC, and others, Zain trained thousands of students in coding, digital skills, and entrepreneurship. Programs such as Kuwait Codes, Academy X, Zain Great Idea, Innovation Nation, and Women in Tech continued to build pathways for future talent, startups, and inclusive participation, including women and students with special needs.

Community engagement peaked during Ramadan through the Zain Alshuhoor campaign, which delivered over 40,000 iftar meals, food baskets, cultural activities, and educational entertainment, reinforcing values of generosity and unity.

Zain also advanced sustainability through initiatives such as deploying the BeBot beach-cleaning robot, adopting DHL GoGreen Plus to reduce air-freight emissions, supporting e-waste recycling in schools, protecting marine ecosystems with the Kuwait Dive Team, and joining the Kuwait Green Building Council. An MoU with the Environment Public Authority further strengthened collaboration on environmental protection and awareness.

Zain Kuwait closed 2025 having delivered measurable impact across digital innovation, youth empowerment, sustainability, and community wellbeing, reinforcing its role as a trusted national partner shaping a more connected and sustainable future.
