TikTok reinforces commitment to a safer digital space in MENA

TikTok has released its Q3 2025 Community Guidelines Enforcement Report, underscoring its ongoing investment in building a safer, more trusted digital environment across the Middle East and North Africa.

Between July and September 2025, the platform removed 17,410,066 videos across Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Iraq, Lebanon, and Morocco for violating Community Guidelines. The figures reflect TikTok’s expanded moderation capabilities and regional focus on proactive enforcement.

Globally, Q3 marked TikTok’s strongest performance to date. Automated systems removed 91 percent of violative content, while 99.3 percent of harmful material was taken down before users reported it. Nearly 95 percent of flagged videos were removed within 24 hours, significantly reducing community exposure. As automation scales, human safety teams are increasingly focused on appeals, expert consultation, and fast-moving incidents.

Safeguarding younger users remained a priority, with over 22 million suspected under-13 accounts removed worldwide during the quarter. This emphasis on age-appropriate experiences, combined with regional moderation, reinforces TikTok’s long-term approach to protecting minors.

LIVE content enforcement also intensified. Globally, 32.2 million LIVE sessions were suspended. Across MENA, TikTok banned 623,991 LIVE hosts and interrupted more than 2.48 million livestreams in Egypt, the UAE, Iraq, Lebanon, and Morocco.
