Mobile operator Robi Axiata PLC has partnered with PUBG Mobile Rising Star, a grassroots competitive tournament organised by the popular mobile game PUBG Mobile, as part of its ongoing engagement with Bangladesh’s gaming community.
The nationwide tournament was held in an online format, with Robi supporting outreach through university roadshows to connect directly with gamers and build awareness across campuses.
After multiple qualifying rounds, the grand finale took place on January 15 at Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology in Dhaka, where the country’s top 15 teams competed for the national title, according to a press release.
In competitive multiplayer games such as PUBG Mobile, network performance is critical. Low ping, minimal latency, and consistent stability directly influence gameplay speed and user experience.
Designed to meet these demands, Robi Supernet delivers high-quality internet performance even during high-pressure gaming sessions. By aligning with the Rising Star tournament, Robi showcased its network in a real-world environment where connectivity is decisive.
The initiative reflects Robi’s broader strategy of demonstrating network strength through high-demand digital use cases.
“We are continuously working to deliver internet services that align with today’s digital lifestyles. Gaming is a use case where low ping, low latency, and network stability have a direct impact on performance,” said Showkat Kader Chowdhury, Head of Marketing at Robi Axiata PLC.
“Through Robi Supernet, we aim to provide gamers with a more reliable and high-quality internet experience so they can perform at their best. At the same time, we remain committed to strengthening and advancing the overall gaming ecosystem in Bangladesh,” he added.
