Jordan’s KAFD backs 12 startups under ‘Riyadah’ entrepreneurship programme

The King Abdullah II Fund for Development (KAFD) has signed support agreements with 12 entrepreneurial projects selected under its “Riyadah” programme, advancing efforts to promote innovation and job creation in line with Jordan’s Economic Modernisation Vision.

KAFD Director-General Samer Miflih formalised the agreements with project owners, with the fund providing both financial and technical support to startups across multiple governorates.

The selected ventures span three key sectors: environment, agriculture and food; technology and the Fourth Industrial Revolution; and tourism and services. The diversity reflects KAFD’s strategy to encourage integration across economic segments while fostering sustainable, locally driven enterprises.

Among the projects are a digital agriculture initiative in Karak to build a smart farm for export, a carbon dioxide–to–solid organic fertiliser project in Zarqa, and an adventure park in Ajloun designed to boost adventure tourism.

Projects were chosen through a multi-stage evaluation process involving technical assessments, expert committee reviews, interviews, and field visits to ensure transparency and consistent standards.
