Ncell, Super Krishak App partner to provide digital agriculture services to farmers

KATHMANDU: Ncell has partnered with the Super Krishak App to expand digital agriculture services across Nepal, aiming to empower farmers through technology-driven tools, connectivity and real-time advisory support.

The collaboration brings together Ncell’s nationwide 4G network coverage and the Super Krishak platform, developed by Gham Power Nepal, to deliver digital farming solutions directly to farmers through mobile devices. The platform already serves more than 30,000 registered farmers and is designed to improve productivity through accessible and affordable digital services.

The Super Krishak App provides a range of agricultural support tools, including online training modules, expert consultation through the “Krishi Doctor” feature, and satellite-based monitoring under “Krishi Cheena.” These services enable farmers to diagnose pest and disease issues, monitor crops and receive data-driven insights and recommendations in local languages.

According to Ncell, the partnership represents a significant step toward digitalising Nepal’s agricultural sector by improving access to modern farming knowledge and bridging the digital divide in rural communities. Farmers can access advisory services, expert guidance and modern agricultural technologies directly through their mobile phones using standard mobile balance for payments.

The premium service includes structured training resources on modern farming practices, AI-powered pest and disease detection covering more than 800 crop issues, personalised advisory services and localized recommendations tailored to farming conditions.

Subscription plans are available through instalment-based payments deducted from the user’s main mobile balance, with options for six-month and one-year packages. Ncell aims to reach more than 120,000 farmers within the first year of the initiative.

The partnership reflects a growing trend among telecom operators to extend connectivity beyond communication services and into sector-specific digital platforms that support economic development and rural inclusion.
