AI-Powered Platform in Egypt Bridges Gap Between Startups and Investors

CAIRO, 16 February 2026: Egypt has launched “Egypt Innovate,” the country’s first fully integrated national digital platform dedicated to innovation and entrepreneurship, during the AI Everything Middle East & Africa exhibition in Cairo. The initiative reflects Egypt’s growing focus on strengthening its innovation ecosystem and accelerating the transition toward a knowledge-based economy through advanced technologies.

Developed by a consortium led by Entlaq in partnership with Robusta and Kamelizer, the platform brings together startups, investors, universities, research centers, and public institutions within a unified digital ecosystem. The objective is to simplify collaboration, improve access to funding opportunities, and strengthen connections between entrepreneurs and investment networks at both regional and international levels.

The platform leverages artificial intelligence to support ecosystem engagement through features such as a digital assistant, automated startup–investor matching, an interactive ecosystem map, and a learning center offering training, mentorship, and entrepreneurial simulations. A self-verification mechanism enables participating entities to update their own profiles, ensuring data accuracy and reliability across the platform.

Officials noted that the initiative aligns with Egypt’s broader national strategy to foster innovation-driven growth by improving visibility for startups and enabling investors to identify emerging opportunities more efficiently. A strong emphasis has also been placed on Arabic-language content to enhance accessibility, develop local entrepreneurial talent, and promote broader digital inclusion.

Following its pilot phase, Egypt Innovate connects approximately 780 entities, including startups, incubators, investors, and research institutions, and hosts more than 3,700 sector-specific resources. The platform currently supports a community exceeding 81,000 registered users, supported by expert advisors who facilitate collaboration and ecosystem growth.

The launch comes amid continued momentum in Egypt’s startup ecosystem, which attracted nearly $614 million in venture capital and debt financing in 2025. By centralizing ecosystem resources and enabling intelligence-driven collaboration, Egypt Innovate aims to further streamline funding access and strengthen Egypt’s position as a regional hub for innovation and entrepreneurship.
