Qatar SMEs adopt 30 digital solutions under national transformation drive

DOHA: Qatar’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) has accelerated the digital transformation of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), enabling the adoption of 30 digital solutions and facilitating 94 matchmaking sessions in 2025 under the SMEs Go Digital Program.

The initiative forms part of Qatar’s broader national digital transformation strategy, aimed at enhancing the competitiveness, efficiency, and sustainability of the SME sector. Through structured support and partnerships with technology providers, the program helps businesses integrate digital tools across operations, finance, marketing, and customer engagement.

According to MCIT, the 30 digital solutions adopted in 2025 span multiple sectors and address core business needs, including enterprise resource planning systems, e-commerce platforms, cybersecurity services, cloud computing, and data analytics solutions.

The program also organised 94 matchmaking sessions between SMEs and approved digital solution providers. These sessions are designed to connect businesses with tailored technology offerings, ensuring that digital adoption aligns with operational requirements and growth objectives.

By facilitating structured engagement between SMEs and technology vendors, MCIT aims to lower adoption barriers and accelerate digital readiness among local enterprises. The initiative supports SMEs in enhancing productivity, improving service delivery, and expanding into new markets.

The SMEs Go Digital Program is aligned with Qatar’s vision to build a diversified, knowledge-based economy powered by advanced digital infrastructure and innovation. Strengthening SME capabilities is seen as critical to economic resilience and long-term competitiveness.
