Orange Egypt Opens First Digital Centre in Upper Egypt with GIZ and Aswan University

Orange Egypt has launched its first Orange Digital Centre in Aswan, Upper Egypt, in partnership with German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) and Aswan University. The initiative aims to empower youth with in-demand digital skills and prepare them for the labor market.

The centre builds on Orange Egypt’s CSR strategy and the success of its Cairo Digital Centre, established in 2021, which has trained thousands in digital technologies. Programmes at the Aswan centre cover software development, embedded systems, data analysis, cybersecurity, hardware, and rapid prototyping, with hands-on learning and practical exposure.

Hosting the centre on Aswan University’s campus facilitates integration between academic education and market needs. The initiative also offers advisory support, events, and hackathons to promote innovation and youth engagement, demonstrating effective public–private collaboration in advancing Digital Transformation across Upper Egypt.
