JazzWorld has announced a partnership with the GSMA Mobile for Development Foundation to support digital innovation projects in Pakistan through the GSMA Innovation Fund.
The collaboration was formalised through a Memorandum of Understanding signed in Barcelona during Mobile World Congress, in the presence of Aamir Ibrahim, CEO of JazzWorld, and John Giusti, Chief Regulatory Officer of GSMA and President of the GSMA Foundation.
Under the agreement, JazzWorld will co-fund Pakistani startups selected as grantees in the GSMA Innovation Fund’s 2026 funding rounds. Alongside financial support, the company may also provide in-kind assistance such as ecosystem visibility, mentorship, and capacity-building initiatives to help selected startups scale their solutions.
Aamir Ibrahim said JazzWorld has a strong history of supporting entrepreneurs and advancing digital innovation across Pakistan, adding that the partnership aims to empower the next generation of founders building locally relevant digital solutions that drive growth for communities.
John Giusti highlighted JazzWorld’s role in Pakistan’s digital ecosystem and noted that the partnership will strengthen the GSMA Innovation Fund’s support for entrepreneurs developing mobile-enabled solutions with social, economic, and environmental impact.
The GSMA Innovation Fund identifies and supports startups using mobile technology to address development challenges in emerging markets, selecting projects through competitive funding rounds and rigorous evaluation processes.
