Cash Plus has officially introduced a new mobile payment service based on QR code technology, aiming to modernize local commerce across Morocco. This innovative solution allows merchants to accept payments directly through the Cash Plus Mobile app, effectively turning any smartphone into a point-of-sale terminal and removing the traditional barrier of expensive banking hardware.
The rollout has seen rapid adoption since its initial launch in January 2026, with over 12,000 local merchants—including small retail shops, cafes, and various service providers—already integrating the system into their daily operations. By simplifying the transaction process, Cash Plus is targeting the “last mile” of digital transformation, bringing electronic payments to neighborhood businesses that have historically relied on cash.
This initiative is a cornerstone of the company’s broader strategy to enhance financial inclusion throughout the Kingdom. With a massive physical presence of 5,200 agencies and a user base of over two million account holders, Cash Plus is leveraging its extensive network to ensure that digital payment tools are accessible to all segments of the Moroccan population, regardless of their proximity to traditional banks.
