Morocco Launches National Program for Local Digital Access Points

The Moroccan government is moving to bridge the digital divide with the launch of the Program for Local Digital Access Points, a key initiative under the Maroc Digital 2030 strategy. This program aims to decentralize public services by establishing physical digital hubs, particularly in rural and underserved areas, where citizens can receive guidance and complete administrative procedures online.

Supported technically by the World Bank, the project focuses on reducing the need for physical travel and shortening processing times for government documents. To ensure a smooth rollout, the Ministry of Digital Transition is adopting a “Cloud First” approach and partnering with organizations that have existing widespread infrastructure to host these new access points.
