The National CSR Fund – MAJRA has launched the MAJRA Impact Stream, an innovative digital platform designed to channel private sector contributions toward CSR initiatives that align with Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) standards and national priorities. The announcement was made during a press conference on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, which also marked the unveiling of the MAJRA Sustainable Impact platform. This platform offers a wide range of services to support and guide private sector efforts in implementing impactful CSR programs.
During the conference, MAJRA also announced partnerships with Dubai University, Umm Al Quwain University, and the Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government (MBRSG). These collaborations aim to enrich the Knowledge Square platform with studies, articles, training programs, and specialized workshops. Notably, training hours completed through these programs will count towards private sector employees’ development credits, further supporting CSR practices and their long-term impact.
In his speech, H.E. Abdullah Al Saleh, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Economy and Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of MAJRA, emphasized the importance of strengthening community responsibility and ESG practices as part of the nation’s priorities. He stated, “The launch of the MAJRA Impact Stream marks a pivotal moment in our dedication to fostering CSR principles and ESG practices, which are integral to our identity and heritage. This initiative empowers businesses to embrace innovative solutions and contribute meaningfully to society, the environment, and the economy.”
Sarah Shaw, Director of MAJRA, added, “With the launch of the MAJRA Impact Stream, our goal is to enhance transparency, accountability, and trust across sectors in their CSR and ESG activities. We aim to unify efforts and amplify the impact of these initiatives, creating a collaborative space for knowledge sharing through the MAJRA Community.”
The MAJRA Impact Stream, built around the core principles of Listen, Unify, Magnify, and Certify, is a key part of MAJRA’s strategy to strengthen CSR frameworks within companies, reinforcing the UAE’s position as a global leader in sustainable business practices. By providing a unified platform for knowledge sharing, impact measurement, and promoting inclusiveness, MAJRA aims to create positive social change and enable the private sector to play a significant role in advancing sustainable development for the nation.
