Harvard Graduates Transform Urban Transportation in Bangladesh with Battery-Swapping Network

Nicole Mao, 33, and Yiwei Zhu, 32, Harvard graduate students, have founded one of Bangladesh’s most promising startups, which has gained significant traction in the urban transportation sector. The duo, who got stuck in the country during the pandemic, created a battery-swapping network for electric rickshaws. This innovative service is rapidly growing in popularity and is set to expand to 1,000 stations next year. The network primarily services Bangladesh’s millions of three-wheeled taxi vehicles, offering a sustainable solution to the country’s urban transport challenges.
