Kathmandu, Nepal – Nepal Telecom (NTC) has announced a reduction in its call rates to India for customers using the 1424 access code. The new tariff, approved by the Nepal Telecommunications Authority (NTA), is Rs 3.76 per minute (exclusive of taxes).

This new rate is significantly lower than the standard international call rates. Calls made using the 1425 and 1445 access codes cost Rs 6 per minute, while regular international calls without any access code cost Rs 12 per minute.

“Ntc’s new call rate to India has been set to Rs 3.76 per minute, which is exclusive of any taxes. However, the call rate from 1425 and 1445 is Rs 6 per minute while the regular calls without any access code is Rs 12 per minute,” clarifies the report, highlighting the cost-saving benefits of using the 1424 access code.

To make international calls using the 1424 access code, customers need to dial 1424 followed by the country code (without the leading 0) and the mobile or local number.

This initiative by NTC aims to make international calls more affordable for its customers, particularly those who frequently call India.
