SEALSQ Corp, a leading company in semiconductors, public key infrastructure, and post-quantum technology, has announced plans to expand its presence in Saudi Arabia. In partnership with its parent company, WISeKey International Holding, and Saudi-based Juffali Group through their joint venture WISeKey Arabia, SEALSQ aims to contribute to the Kingdom’s digital transformation and cybersecurity efforts in alignment with Vision 2030.
The collaboration between SEALSQ and WISeKey is focused on deploying a variety of technologies tailored to Saudi Arabia’s evolving needs. A key initiative is the introduction of WISeSat.Space, a low-power satellite solution developed by WISeKey. This solution is designed for real-time IoT data processing in remote areas and utilizes quantum-resistant encryption to ensure secure data transmission. WISeSat.Space aims to lower the barriers to satellite communication, making advanced satellite services more accessible to businesses and government projects. Its scalable design is expected to support applications in environmental monitoring, smart cities, and supply chain optimization.
In addition to the satellite solution, SEALSQ and WISeKey are collaborating with Hedera to incorporate its enterprise-grade distributed ledger into blockchain-based applications. This partnership aligns with The Hashgraph Association’s collaboration with the Saudi Ministry of Investment, which has launched a $250 million DeepTech Venture Studio focused on supporting startups in blockchain, AI, IoT, robotics, and quantum computing.
The DeepTech Venture Studio, funded by $50 million from The Hashgraph Association and $200 million from the Saudi Ministry of Investment, will provide crucial resources to innovation-driven startups. WISeKey Arabia will act as a trusted technology partner to deliver secure, scalable solutions to these companies.
SEALSQ and WISeKey’s initiatives are in line with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, which seeks to foster innovation, digital transformation, and economic diversification. These efforts complement other national projects, including the Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution (C4IR) Saudi Arabia and the Quantum Economy initiative.
Carlos Moreira, CEO of SEALSQ, emphasized the importance of this collaboration, stating, “Our commitment to Saudi Arabia goes beyond cybersecurity. By introducing groundbreaking technologies like WISeSat and collaborating with key partners such as the Juffali Group, Hedera, and The Hashgraph Association, we aim to empower the Kingdom’s businesses and government with the tools they need to thrive in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.”
