DOHA, QATAR: Qatar’s e-services market is on track for significant expansion in the coming years, according to analysts at Statista. The growing demand for online services, fueled by government-led digital transformation initiatives and increasing convenience for residents, is expected to propel market growth.
Data from Statista reveals that the revenue from Qatar’s online services market is estimated to reach $1.628 billion (QR5.9 billion) by 2025. The market is also projected to grow at a steady annual rate of 12.58% from 2025 to 2029, bringing the estimated market volume to $2.615 billion during this period.
The online food delivery sector, part of Qatar’s e-services, is also expected to show robust growth by the end of 2025. The report forecasts a 28.1% growth in the sector’s revenue from 2023 to 2026. The e-food delivery market is anticipated to reach $1.616 billion by the end of this year.
Statista analysts further highlight that globally, China is expected to lead the online food delivery market, generating a projected $545.80 billion this year. In Qatar, the average revenue per user (ARPU) in the online food delivery market is predicted to reach $1,058 by 2025. The number of users is expected to grow to 1.8 million by 2029, with a penetration rate of 55.4% in 2023.
Experts point out that the government’s ongoing initiatives and digital projects are helping Qatar position itself as a leader in the online market, contributing to the country’s growing GDP and advancing its e-services sector.
