Jordan’s ICT Market Poised for Growth, Projected to Reach $5.1 Billion by 2030

AMMAN — The Information and Communications Technology (ICT) market in Jordan is forecast to reach a size of $5.10 billion by 2030, growing from $3.73 billion in 2025, with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 6.47% over the next five years, according to Mordor Intelligence.

The increasing investments in IT, coupled with a rising demand for digital solutions, are expected to drive significant growth in Jordan’s ICT sector. This growth is attributed to factors such as the growing need for digitalisation, the expansion of scalable IT infrastructure, and the widespread adoption of 5G networks.

The report highlights a strong focus on emerging technologies like cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and robotics as key contributors to the expansion of the ICT market in the Kingdom. Local businesses are making considerable investments in both hardware and software, further stimulating this sector’s progress.

Jordan is also witnessing a notable surge in the adoption of 4G and 5G technologies, driven by the rollout of new networks and an increased demand for high-speed connectivity services. The transformative potential of 5G is particularly impactful, with its enhanced mobile broadband capabilities and low latency supporting a wide range of applications, from mobile services to extensive Internet of Things (IoT) deployments.

Furthermore, the e-commerce sector in Jordan is gaining momentum, with a growing need for robust cloud infrastructure. In a strategic move, the Jordan Customs Department (JCD) launched a comprehensive electronic platform in August 2023 aimed at enhancing the e-commerce landscape. This platform provides a documentary database designed to streamline trade and address the growing shift of consumers toward international electronic platforms, which has previously led to substantial losses for local traders, sellers, and producers. The initiative reflects the government’s commitment to supporting local businesses in this evolving digital age.
