Egypt’s Qualiphi acquires Career Club in six-figure deal to accelerate GCC expansion of AI career platform

Egyptian HR tech startup Qualiphi has acquired Career Club, a virtual career platform previously owned by iCareer, in a six-figure deal aimed at accelerating product development and extending its AI-powered career services into the GCC market.

Founded in 2025 by Nevien Magdy, Qualiphi operates a Career Services Management platform connecting universities, employers and students within a unified ecosystem. The company says it has already reached more than 500,000 students and established partnerships with universities and government entities across Egypt.

The Career Club acquisition adds capabilities in career guidance, skills development, CV optimisation and digital career events. Qualiphi intends to integrate these into its existing platform as it pursues simultaneous expansion across Egypt and Gulf markets.

Editor’s Note: The deal is notable less for its size — six figures is modest — than for its direction. An Egyptian HR tech platform moving toward GCC expansion through acquisition rather than organic growth reflects growing confidence among Egyptian startup founders that the Gulf’s large, young, digitally active workforce represents a reachable adjacent market. Watch for similar Egypt-to-GCC moves in edtech and workforce platform categories as the pattern matures.
