Nokia and Zain KSA have entered into a partnership to address mobile coverage gaps and enhance connectivity for enterprise customers by launching the first 4G/5G femtocell service in Saudi Arabia and the wider Middle East and Africa (MEA) region. The femtocell solution features the deployment of 4G and 5G Smart Nodes, alongside Nokia’s products and services, including the IP Security Gateway, Femto Manager, and end-to-end delivery services.
The Smart Nodes, designed to enhance connectivity, integrate seamlessly into the Zain KSA network. The plug-and-play system reduces dependence on customer infrastructure, making it easier to deploy. Nokia believes this solution will significantly improve indoor coverage for Zain KSA’s enterprise customers.
Nokia’s Head of Enterprise Mobile Networks in Saudi Arabia commented, “Our Smart Node solution is ideally suited to help Zain KSA reduce B2B time to market, improve customer experience, and offload traffic from the macro RAN.”
Zain KSA’s Vice President of Marketing and Business Development added, “Our collaboration with Nokia to launch the region’s first Smart Nodes solution builds on our legacy. This enterprise-focused solution boosts productivity and security while reducing costs for our customers.”
Nokia’s solution, tailored to the unique needs of enterprise customers, strengthens Zain KSA’s B2B portfolio. It is expected to improve customer loyalty by ensuring consistent 4G and 5G network availability across various enterprise locations.
