Es’hailSat, the Qatar Satellite Company, has signed a multi-year deal with Morocco’s Société Nationale de Radiodiffusion et de Télévision (SNRT) to provide Direct-to-Home (DTH) services, satellite transponder for Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT), and video contribution services. The agreement utilizes the Es’hail-1 satellite at the 25.5° East orbital position, optimizing coverage across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. This partnership significantly enhances SNRT’s signal coverage, broadening access to its programming throughout the MENA region.
Es’hailSat’s strategic satellite footprint in the region allows for increased viewership potential, meeting the growing demand for diverse content. Ali Ahmed Al Kuwari, President & CEO of Es’hailSat, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, highlighting how the collaboration aligns with SNRT’s goal of delivering quality Moroccan content to a wider audience.
This deal adds SNRT to Es’hailSat’s video neighborhood, further enriching the content lineup on the Es’hail-1 and Es’hail-2 satellites. The public broadcaster’s channel package now reaches more viewers, helping to expand the reach of Moroccan television programming across the region.
