Aster DM Healthcare Announces Expansions and Digital Growth at Arab Health 2025

At the inaugural day of Arab Health 2025, Aster DM Healthcare Group, a UAE-based healthcare provider, announced the expansion of Aster Pharmacy’s retail and digital presence, along with its ongoing plans to expand into Saudi Arabia. Dr. Azad Moopen, founder chairman of Aster DM Healthcare, inaugurated the Aster Pharmacy booth and praised the UAE’s achievements in revolutionizing healthcare, medical tourism, and creating a world-class healthcare ecosystem.

Aster Pharmacy, which currently operates over 300 outlets and employs 2,025 pharmacists across the UAE and GCC, is set to expand further in Saudi Arabia. Through a recent joint venture with Al Hokair Holding Group, Aster aims to open 186 pharmacies in the Kingdom within the next five years. The company is already operating 14 pharmacies in Saudi Arabia and plans to increase that number to 20 by March 2025.

To support its expansion, Aster DM Healthcare has allocated $250 million, including investments in acquiring healthcare facilities. Aster Pharmacy also plans to enhance its digital services in Saudi Arabia, with the upcoming launch of the myAster app. The app will enable customers to have prescription and wellness products delivered directly to their doorsteps, significantly improving convenience and reducing delivery times to under 60 minutes in select regions.
