Paymob, a leading fintech company in the MENA region, has announced its partnership with Woo, the platform behind WooCommerce, to integrate its payment solutions directly into the WooCommerce marketplace. This collaboration provides merchants with access to over 50 global and local payment methods, streamlining the checkout process and enhancing the e-commerce experience.
With the MENA e-commerce market projected to reach USD 50 billion by 2025, driven by increased smartphone penetration, a growing young population, and higher demand for digital payments, this partnership comes at a pivotal time. Paymob’s integration with WooCommerce makes it easier for businesses to scale by offering fast payment processing, multi-currency support, mobile-optimized checkouts, and enhanced security features like 3D Secure and PCI compliance.
Merchants will also benefit from quick payment settlements, with next-day (T+1) and instant settlement options, and features to increase payment success rates. Additionally, Paymob plans to streamline WooCommerce’s onboarding experience, allowing new merchants to activate their stores and start accepting payments quickly.
Omar El Gammal, EVP of Global Business Development at Paymob, highlighted the vision of creating a seamless future for e-commerce, while Web Griebel, GM of Payments at Woo, expressed excitement about offering MENA merchants a secure and efficient solution to scale their businesses.
This partnership reflects the growing demand for digital payment solutions in the region and supports the acceleration of e-commerce for SMEs.
