HUTCH and Trainocate Launch “Srilankanization” to Empower Sri Lankans with Digital Skills

HUTCH, in partnership with Trainocate, has launched the “Srilankanization” initiative to empower Sri Lankans with essential digital knowledge and skills, contributing to the country’s digital economy. The program offers world-class training courses on digital applications, with certifications from top tech corporations such as Microsoft, AWS, Google Cloud, and Cisco.

The initiative targets a broad audience, including students, entrepreneurs, professionals, and trainers, aiming to position Sri Lanka as a leader in the digital landscape in South Asia. The learning material is available through the RESET e-learning platform, hosted on the HUTCH website. This platform offers 5,000+ training videos and 130+ certifications, providing a comprehensive and flexible learning experience.

With a highly subsidized annual fee of Rs 7,500, users gain unlimited access to all courses throughout the year. The Srilankanization initiative is designed to tackle challenges like brain drain and workforce gaps by equipping Sri Lankans with both basic and advanced digital skills, enabling them to succeed in the global digital economy.

Hamdhy Hassen, CMO of HUTCH Sri Lanka, emphasized the initiative’s role in enhancing Sri Lanka’s digital capabilities and driving digital transformation. Zafarullah Hashim, Managing Director of Trainocate SEANM & Gulf, noted that the program is a visionary step toward creating a digitally savvy workforce and transforming Sri Lanka into a global tech hub.
