Tunisia’s telecommunication operators—Tunisie Telecom, Orange Tunisie, and Ooredo—are set to begin marketing 5G services from mid-February 2025, according to Mehrzia Aouni, Director General of Communication Technologies at the Ministry of Communication Technologies. The companies have prepared for the transition by modernizing their networks and setting up necessary technical and procedural mechanisms.
Aouni highlighted that the 5G project in Tunisia is aligned with technological advancements and the standards set by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and other standards organizations. This marks an important step in the country’s digital transformation and the advancement of its telecommunications infrastructure.
