CGEM Launches “Génération AI” Program to Boost AI Adoption Among Moroccan SMEs

In a bid to accelerate digital transformation, the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM) has launched the “Génération AI: Booster 1000 PME Marocaines” program, aimed at helping 1,000 Moroccan small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) adopt artificial intelligence (AI). In partnership with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and LinkedIn, the initiative will provide SMEs with LinkedIn learning licenses and specialized AI training.

The program will focus on essential AI skills and strategic topics like innovation, digital transformation, and sustainable development. The training modules, available until September 2025, are designed to equip entrepreneurs with the tools they need to leverage AI and boost business competitiveness in Morocco.

This initiative comes at a critical time as digital transformation is a key driver of competitiveness for businesses. A recent PwC report revealed that 27% of African business leaders have adopted generative AI, which is slightly below the global average of 32%. By enhancing entrepreneurs’ AI skills, “Génération AI” aims to help Moroccan SMEs catch up and thrive in the rapidly evolving digital landscape.

Supported by the Association des Femmes Entrepreneurs du Maroc (AFEM) and Technopark, the program is expected to have a substantial impact on the country’s business ecosystem, helping Moroccan companies integrate AI technologies and drive growth in the digital era.
