Edotco Bangladesh, the country’s leading telecommunications infrastructure provider, has expanded its ‘Tower to Power’ CSR initiative by equipping St. Francis High School in Dinajpur with a 2.2 KW solar-powered electricity system. This sustainable solution aims to resolve the school’s ongoing power shortages, providing uninterrupted electricity to the student hostels and ensuring a comfortable environment for both students and staff.
The initiative benefits 250 students and staff, addressing the school’s critical need for reliable power. The launch event was attended by key figures from Edotco Bangladesh, including Country Managing Director Sunil Issac, and local education and church authorities.
Edotco continues to leverage its infrastructure to provide renewable energy, reinforcing its commitment to sustainability and social impact. Sunil Issac highlighted the broader vision behind the initiative, emphasizing that Edotco’s efforts are not only about connectivity but also about creating positive changes for underserved communities. The ‘Tower to Power’ initiative has already impacted 65,000 individuals across Bangladesh since its launch in 2017, improving access to sustainable energy and fostering community well-being.
Through such initiatives, Edotco aims to bridge the digital divide, empower communities, and promote sustainability, making a real difference in the lives of those who need it most.
