Space42 Partners with FADA to Enhance UAE’s Geospatial Analytics and Earth Observation Capabilities

UAE-based SpaceTech company Space42 has entered a strategic partnership with FADA, an EDGE Group entity focused on geospatial analytics, to enhance the UAE’s Earth Observation (EO) downstream capabilities. The collaboration, valued at AED 378 million ($102.91 million), aims to advance data-driven decision-making across multiple sectors in the country.

The agreement will utilize data from Space42’s Foresight Constellation of Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) satellites, first launched in August 2024 and expanded in January 2025. Space42 and FADA will work alongside various government agencies to further develop platform capabilities in the coming years, elevating the UAE’s national capabilities in Earth Observation technology.

Hasan Al Hosani, CEO of Bayanat Smart Solutions, Space42, stated that the partnership will enable the delivery of premium geospatial insights to improve national operational efficiency. By utilizing advanced analytics and multi-source geospatial data, the collaboration will significantly contribute to the UAE’s strategic objectives.

Waleid Al Mesmari, President of Space & Cyber Technologies at EDGE, highlighted that the partnership with FADA marks a major milestone in advancing Earth Observation technology. The mission of FADA is to develop sovereign space solutions, innovate satellite systems, and strengthen national capabilities to drive a safer and more sustainable future for the UAE and beyond.
