Onsor Unveils Nexa, a Revolutionary Device to Predict Epileptic Seizures

Onsor, a subsidiary of Ithca Group, launched Nexa, an innovative device designed to predict epileptic seizures up to an hour before they occur. The breakthrough technology uses artificial intelligence (AI) and neuromorphic computing to analyze neurological data, offering highly accurate predictions that enable epilepsy patients to take preventive actions and reduce risks.

The unveiling ceremony, held at the Royal Opera House Muscat, was patronized by H H Sayyid Dr Kamil bin Fahd bin Mahmoud al Said, Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers, and attended by key dignitaries, healthcare professionals, and technology experts. The event included a live demonstration of Nexa, highlighting its potential to empower patients in managing their condition proactively.

Said bin Abdullah al Mandhari, CEO of Ithca Group, emphasized the company’s commitment to driving technological and humanistic advancements for the well-being of the community. Muadh bin Ahmed al Hinai, CEO of Onsor, referred to Nexa as a “tool of hope” for those living with epilepsy. The device is being developed with support from the Ministry of Health, providing expertise and data for research and clinical trials.
