Huawei, a global leader in information and communications technology (ICT), has signed a cooperation agreement with Telecom Egypt to improve tech solutions ahead of the launch of 5G services in Egypt. This partnership marks a significant milestone in Telecom Egypt’s goal of becoming a leading ICT operator in the region.
Telecom Egypt became the first operator in Egypt and Northern Africa to deploy advanced outdoor and indoor solutions, including Huawei’s BladeAAU with high-bandwidth massive multiple input multiple output (MIMO) technology and the DIS 5G Solution with the new Pico Radio (pRRU) for indoor solutions supporting multiband.
This collaboration aligns with Huawei’s strategy to enhance Egypt’s ICT infrastructure and support its digital transformation plans by offering cutting-edge technologies. It also supports Telecom Egypt’s mission to build high-quality 4G/5G collaborative networks.
