Telecom Egypt Partners with Ericsson Mediation to Drive Digital Transformation and Enhance Customer Experience

Telecom Egypt has strengthened its long-standing partnership with Ericsson by selecting the Ericsson Mediation platform to enhance digital services, streamline communication, reduce costs, and improve customer engagement across Egypt. This collaboration was announced at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025 in Barcelona, Spain.

The Ericsson Mediation platform will be integral to Telecom Egypt’s unified customer communication platform, modernizing customer journeys and improving digital interactions. It will enable Telecom Egypt to provide flexible communication options, such as app notifications or traditional SMS, allowing customers to receive information more conveniently and cost-effectively. This solution aims to reduce operating expenses (OPEX) while driving digital engagement.

The platform will provide Telecom Egypt with greater agility, user-friendliness, and faster time-to-market for new services. Additionally, it will facilitate efficient system customization and seamless interoperability with legacy and modern IT systems, making it an ideal tool for navigating the dynamic telecom landscape.

Mohamed Alfowey, Chief Technology Officer of Telecom Egypt, highlighted the importance of this partnership, stating, “With the Ericsson Mediation platform, we are unlocking the agility and scalability needed to adapt to evolving business needs and explosive data growth. This will enhance our customer workflows and accelerate our transformation journey.”

Kevin Murphy, Vice President and Head of Ericsson North Middle East and Africa, emphasized the platform’s role in helping Telecom Egypt navigate the evolving telecom industry, enabling faster service launches, system customization, and seamless interoperability.

Ericsson Mediation continues to serve over a billion subscribers worldwide, providing a stable, accurate, and efficient platform that will support Telecom Egypt’s digitalization efforts across the country.
