Zain Continues Strategic Partnership with CODED Academy to Empower Kuwait’s Future Tech Leaders

Zain has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the Kuwait Codes initiative for its new season, marking the fourth consecutive year of collaboration. This partnership, in conjunction with CODED Academy — the pioneering coding academy in the Middle East — serves as a cornerstone of Zain’s strategic approach to fostering the digital transformation in Kuwait.

The announcement was made during a press conference at the Kuwait University Cultural Center in Shadadiya, attended by key stakeholders, including Faisal Al-Duwaihees from Zain’s Corporate Affairs and Relations Division, Ahmed Marafi, Co-founder and CEO of CODED Academy, along with other Zain and CODED officials, and representatives from various sponsors and supporters.

In his statement, Faisal Al-Duwaihees emphasized the critical role Zain has played in the success of the Kuwait Codes initiative, highlighting the empowerment and training of over 3,500 young Kuwaiti coders in previous seasons. He underscored the strategic importance of such initiatives within Zain’s corporate sustainability framework, particularly their focus on developing the next generation of digital leaders. “This initiative is not only a testament to Zain’s commitment to corporate social responsibility but also to our dedication to nurturing local talent with the technical skills necessary for the challenges ahead,” he added.

Al-Duwaihees further reiterated Zain’s pride in being a key supporter of CODED Academy’s programs, which include ‘Kuwait Codes,’ ‘Academy X,’ and the ‘Kuwait Hackathon.’ He expressed excitement for the upcoming season and the ongoing collaboration, which continues to contribute to the growth of innovation and creativity within Kuwait’s tech community.

Ahmed Marafi, CEO of CODED Academy, expressed gratitude for Zain’s continued support, noting the successful track record of the ‘Kuwait Codes’ initiative, which has trained thousands of students free of charge in high-demand tech skills. “Through our strategic partnership with Zain, we have been able to provide Kuwaiti students with the skills needed to compete both locally and globally in the rapidly evolving digital landscape,” Marafi said. “This partnership is instrumental in equipping youth with the skills to apply their knowledge in real-world scenarios and enter the digital job market with confidence.”

The 2025 edition of the Kuwait Codes initiative aims to train 1,000 high school and ninth-grade students in various technical disciplines, ranging from app development to artificial intelligence and cybersecurity. The program offers a unique learning experience with top-tier instructors, fostering technical skills that are in high demand on both a local and global scale. Participants will not only gain expertise in areas such as Python programming and data science but will also be inspired to pursue careers that position them as ambassadors of technology innovation in Kuwait.

With a focus on building the capabilities of the youth, CODED Academy remains steadfast in its mission to equip students with the necessary tools to thrive in the digital age. Through its partnership with Zain, the academy is furthering its commitment to enhancing innovation and driving technological advancement in Kuwait. The program’s focus on practical applications ensures that students are not only prepared for academic success but also for a dynamic and competitive global tech industry.

This collaboration stands as a testament to the importance of industry partnerships in preparing the next generation for the challenges and opportunities presented by the digital economy.
