Huawei Egypt has announced the appointment of Benjamin Hou as its new CEO, aiming to strengthen its digital presence in the country. Hou brings over 20 years of experience at Huawei, most recently serving as the president of the Northern Africa Carrier Business Group.
Throughout his career, Hou has held various leadership roles in pre-sales, marketing, solution sales, and service support, which Huawei believes positions him perfectly to lead the company’s digital transformation initiatives across Egypt’s public and private sectors.
In his first comments following the appointment, Hou expressed his honor in taking on the role, especially as Huawei celebrates 25 years of innovation and partnership in Egypt. “Over the past quarter-century, Huawei has contributed to shaping Egypt’s digital landscape, and I am committed to building on this foundation to drive even greater progress,” he said.
He further emphasized Egypt’s importance to Huawei, stating, “Egypt remains a key market for Huawei, and I look forward to leading our efforts in accelerating its digital transformation. Huawei is committed to supporting Egypt’s ICT ecosystem, nurturing local talent, and delivering cutting-edge solutions that empower businesses and communities alike.”
Hou also stressed Huawei’s focus on sustainable growth and innovation, adapting to the evolving needs of its partners and customers, with the goal of advancing Egypt’s journey toward a fully connected and digital future.
