Huawei recently hosted the Digital Morocco Summit in Marrakech, held alongside GITEX Africa 2025. The summit gathered over 200 key public decision-makers, technology leaders, and industry experts under the theme “Amplify Intelligence: Shaping the Future with Digital Morocco 2030.”
Prominent speakers included Mohammed Drissi Melyani, Director General of the Digital Development Agency, and David Li, General Manager of Huawei Morocco, who discussed the future of digital development in Morocco. International experts such as Wilson Xavier from IDC and Hytham Wang from Huawei contributed valuable insights into AI transformation and its impact across various industries.
The event also featured local leaders such as Moulay Hfid Zmirli from the Wilaya of Marrakech and Mohamed Saad from the Casablanca Stock Exchange, who enriched the discussions with their views on digital innovation. Representatives from key sectors, including education and business solutions, also participated, highlighting the importance of AI in shaping Morocco’s digital future.
The summit provided a significant platform for exploring strategies to implement AI and digital transformation in alignment with Morocco’s Vision 2030, emphasizing collaboration between government, business, and academia to drive technological progress.
