G42 and Cisco Forge Strategic Partnership to Accelerate AI Innovation

G42, the UAE-based global technology group, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Cisco, the world’s leader in networking and security, to drive innovation in artificial intelligence (AI) and infrastructure development across both the public and private sectors.

The MoU was presented to His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, by Peng Xiao, Group Chief Executive Officer of G42, and Chuck Robbins, Chair and Chief Executive Officer of Cisco.

The agreement aims to explore collaboration in several critical areas, including a joint Go-to-Market initiative that will combine Cisco’s secure AI solutions and services with G42’s expertise in AI infrastructure and its growing international presence. This initiative is set to support the widespread adoption of AI both within the UAE and globally.

Moreover, the two companies will collaborate to evaluate the potential for co-developing AI-powered cybersecurity solutions and creating a reference architecture that integrates Cisco’s networking, security, and infrastructure solutions for high-performance computing. This partnership seeks to help clients build and secure AI-ready data centers and optimize the development of AI workloads.

G42’s partnerships with leading U.S. tech companies have become essential to advancing its mission to shape the global AI ecosystem. This collaboration aligns with the UAE’s broader National AI Strategy 2031, which aims to make the country a global leader in AI innovation, focusing on responsible AI development and deployment.

Peng Xiao, CEO of G42, emphasized the strategic importance of the partnership, stating, “This MoU with Cisco reflects our shared interest in scaling AI infrastructure and innovation in a responsible and secure manner. As G42 continues to expand globally, we welcome opportunities to align with organizations that prioritize open collaboration and long-term impact, supporting governments, enterprises, and communities in unlocking AI’s full potential.”

Chuck Robbins, CEO of Cisco, added, “AI is fundamentally reshaping our world, and to realize its full potential, we need a strong global ecosystem. Cisco is excited to partner with G42 to provide advanced AI and digital infrastructure solutions that will drive transformative change at scale.”
