Bahrain’s Labour Fund (Tamkeen) has launched a new digital transformation programme for local small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in partnership with global tech company Zoho. Under the initiative, eligible Bahraini businesses will receive access to Zoho’s business operating system, Zoho One, for two years—enabling them to streamline operations and enhance productivity using over 50 integrated business applications.
These tools include CRM, sales automation, HR and finance management, marketing, customer service, and analytics solutions—all designed to support SMEs in embracing digital technologies for growth and sustainability. The partnership also contributes to Bahrain’s broader efforts in economic diversification and investment attraction, supported by the Bahrain Economic Development Board.
Tamkeen CEO Maha Abdulhameed Mofeez emphasized the strategic value of empowering Bahraini SMEs through partnerships with leading global players. She noted that the initiative aligns with Tamkeen’s 2025 priorities, including private sector competitiveness, digitization, enterprise growth, and preparing Bahrain’s tech workforce for emerging opportunities.
Zoho MEA President Hyther Nizam highlighted the company’s commitment to “transnational localism”—investing in local ecosystems while supporting global expansion. He added that demand for Zoho’s suite has surged in the Middle East and Africa since 2020, and the Bahrain partnership reflects Zoho’s intent to support regional innovation and localization.
The programme is expected to benefit SMEs across industries while reinforcing Bahrain’s position as a growing regional tech hub.
