Airtel Uganda Expands 4G Network to Kassanda District to Boost Connectivity and Digital Inclusion

Airtel Uganda has extended its 4G network coverage to Kassanda District as part of its ongoing national infrastructure rollout aimed at enhancing digital inclusion across the country. The expansion promises faster and more reliable connectivity for residents and businesses alike, reinforcing Airtel’s commitment to delivering high-quality digital services nationwide.

During a visit to Kassanda, Airtel Uganda’s Managing Director Soumendra Sahu engaged with local customers, agents, and community members to evaluate the impact of the newly deployed network sites. Users are already reporting significant improvements in call quality and data speeds.

“Our goal is simple: to deliver a brilliant network experience to all customers across Uganda, without differentiation. We are not just building infrastructure—we are enabling economic participation, access to knowledge, and deeper human connection,” said Sahu.

In Bukuya, Sahu also demonstrated the Data Saver feature on smartphones to help customers manage data usage effectively, aligning with Airtel’s broader focus on affordability and digital literacy in underserved regions.

This Kassanda expansion is part of Airtel Uganda’s broader community engagement efforts to close the digital connectivity gap nationwide, empowering individuals and businesses to thrive in Uganda’s growing digital economy.
