Vietnamese Telco MobiFone Launches Saymee Digital MVNO Brand Powered by Amdocs’ Cloud-Native Platform

Vietnamese telecommunications operator MobiFone has introduced a new digital mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) brand, Saymee, targeting Gen Z subscribers with innovative features designed to meet the preferences of younger users. Saymee offers unique capabilities such as free access to GPT chat and a customer loyalty program, enhancing engagement and user experience.

The Saymee service is powered by connectX, a cloud-native, “telco-in-a-box” software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform developed by global software and services provider Amdocs. Hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS), connectX enables telecommunications companies and MVNOs to rapidly deploy flexible, scalable, and versatile digital services, significantly accelerating time-to-market.

Amdocs states that MobiFone can leverage the connectX platform to streamline the launch of new offers on Saymee, boost operational efficiency, and simplify customer journeys while managing multiple mobile subscription plans effectively. This capability is crucial to adapting to the evolving demands of the dynamic MVNO market and the rapidly changing requirements of young, tech-savvy subscribers.

Anthony Goonetilleke, Group President of Technology and Head of Strategy at Amdocs, emphasized the importance for telecom operators to develop distinctive brands that deliver superior user experiences, drive business growth, and enhance profitability. He described connectX as an AI-native solution encompassing a comprehensive SaaS offering, including product catalog management, subscription services, a mobile application, and seamless integration with local payment gateways and network aggregators. This integrated platform empowers telcos to design and deliver complete digital offerings with flexibility and minimized risk.

Saymee represents MobiFone’s strategic effort to engage younger consumers by delivering a modern, feature-rich digital service backed by robust cloud technologies and AI-driven operational efficiencies.
