Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuyain, Adviser on Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives and Youth and Sports, announced that the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) has instructed telecom operators to offer 1GB of free internet data to their subscribers on July 18. This initiative is part of the government’s efforts to commemorate the July Uprising. Bhuyain shared the directive in a post on his verified Facebook page on Wednesday, highlighting the government’s commitment to mark the historic event with accessible digital services for the public.
