The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) recently conducted a series of awareness sessions from July 8 to 10 under its Digital Citizenship and Online Safety initiative. Held at the Misr Public Library’s Assiut branch, these sessions were organized in partnership with UNICEF and Assiut Governorate.
The program focused on educating participants about internet-related risks, online protection tools, support and reporting channels, and responsible digital behavior. This initiative aligns with the MCIT and Assiut Governorate’s Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance digital capacity and empower citizens across the governorate.
By promoting ethical and safe online practices, the initiative supports the broader Digital Egypt strategy and emphasizes empowering children and youth to navigate cyberspace securely. Targeted training and awareness programs help young users understand their digital footprint and adopt responsible habits in collaboration with key stakeholders.
