The Bahrain Technology Companies Society (BTECH) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with WorkSmart Events Management to co-organize the thirteenth edition of the MEET ICT Conference alongside the Bahrain International Technology Exhibition (Bitex). Scheduled for November 25–27 at the Gulf Hotel, the event will be held under the patronage of Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications.
This year’s theme, “Innovation, Transform, Elevate: AI For the New Economy,” underscores the critical role of artificial intelligence in transforming industries, accelerating digital transformation, and supporting Bahrain’s and the region’s economic diversification.
BTECH and WorkSmart have invited all ICT ecosystem stakeholders to participate. The event will showcase cutting-edge innovations from startups, established tech firms, government bodies, NGOs, and academic institutions. It provides a platform for exchanging insights with industry leaders and forging partnerships to foster sustainable growth, technological advancement, and regional collaboration.
The partnership aims to encourage collaboration between local and international companies, creating development opportunities in Bahrain’s technology sector. It also seeks to stimulate active public and private sector participation in Bitex, promoting networking and knowledge sharing.
BTECH will recognize outstanding achievements in innovation during the conference and plans to enhance engagement with embassies and key ICT stakeholders across the GCC and MENA, broadening the event’s regional and international presence.
Rashid Al Snan, BTECH Board Member, emphasized the milestone’s significance in reinforcing Bahrain’s leadership in the ICT sector and alignment with Vision 2030 goals. Ahmed Al-Hujairi, CEO of WorkSmart, expressed confidence that the collaboration will elevate the event’s success and its role as a regional platform for AI and business development expertise.
