The Generation 8 platform combines hardware, software, managed services, and flexible billing into a single ecosystem. Key features include SonicWall Unified Management for centralized cloud-based control, built-in Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) licenses, the SonicSentry co-managed security service with 24/7 monitoring and patching, and an industry-first embedded cyber warranty providing $200,000 coverage through the Managed Protection Security Suite (MPSS).

The portfolio spans from the ultra-compact TZ280 to the high-performance NSa 5800, each offering advanced protection, cloud-native management, Zero Trust capabilities, and enhanced SonicOS features.
Designed for real-world use cases, the platform supports SMB and mid-market security, multi-tenant environments, compliance-focused co-management, and full-stack offerings with optional cyber insurance coverage up to $1 million.
