Djezzy has announced the launch of its Open Innovation Challenge 2025, an initiative designed to encourage startups, researchers, engineers, and students to create technological solutions that advance digital inclusion, reduce inequalities, and connect underserved populations to the opportunities of digital transformation.
The challenge seeks to strengthen Algeria’s entrepreneurial ecosystem by supporting projects that address pressing issues linked to urbanization, sustainability, and equitable digital access. It emphasizes responsible innovation, encouraging solutions that deliver both social and environmental impact while fostering collaboration between startups, institutions, and experts to accelerate deployment at scale.
Eligible participants include startups, microenterprises, professionals in career transition, researchers, and students. Proposals will be evaluated on factors such as the importance of the problem addressed, feasibility and scalability of the solution, alignment with Djezzy’s priorities, level of innovation, technological maturity, and the experience of the project team.
The winning project will receive a grant of 200,000 DZD, in addition to mentorship, access to Djezzy’s technical resources, and opportunities to engage with institutional and economic actors in Algeria’s innovation landscape.
By launching this challenge, Djezzy aims to co-create solutions with local talent, foster emerging technology-driven startups, and shape a more inclusive, responsible, and connected digital future for Algeria.
