Orange Jordan, in the presence of H.E. Samira Al-Zoubi, Secretary General of the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, celebrated the graduation of the sixth cohort from its Coding Academy at the Orange Digital Center in Amman. The event also marked the second cohort of the “Digital Upskilling and Employment Program” scholarship, funded under the “Youth, Technology, and Jobs” Project (YTJ) and implemented by the Digital Skills Association (Digiskills).
A total of 49 young men and women completed this cohort, bringing the total number of program graduates in Amman to 100, of whom 33% are women. Over the course of four months and 640 training hours, participants gained both technical and life skills to enhance employability. During their training, graduates supported 25 startups by developing websites, showcasing the program’s emphasis on practical application.
Alongside the graduation, the second specialized job fair was organized to connect graduates with companies seeking skilled youth talent, aligning with the program’s objective to integrate training with direct employment opportunities.
H.E. Samira Al-Zoubi reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to empowering youth, noting that the program offers real career pathways and contributes to building a competitive digital economy led by Jordanian talent. Amira Qarqash, Digital Education and Skills Development Manager at YTJ, emphasized that investing in youth digital skills is critical for economic growth. Eng. Rana Al-Dababneh, Chief Corporate Communication & Sustainability Officer at Orange Jordan, highlighted that since its inception, the Coding Academy has graduated more than 1,000 students, with over 80% securing jobs, underscoring the effectiveness of its integrated training model.
