Network International Partners with Libya’s National Union Bank to Drive Digital Payments Modernisation

In a significant boost to Libya’s financial sector, Network International, one of the Middle East and Africa’s leading fintech companies, has entered into a strategic partnership with the National Union Bank (NUB) to accelerate digital payments and banking transformation across the country.

Under the agreement, Network International will deliver a full suite of digital payment processing services, including end-to-end prepaid card issuance and advanced value-added solutions. Leveraging its Digital Payments as a Service platform, the company will equip NUB with robust fraud prevention tools, back-office managed services, and scalable infrastructure to strengthen customer experience and operational efficiency.

The collaboration is designed to support Libya’s national financial inclusion agenda by expanding access to secure, modern financial services. It will enable NUB to shorten time-to-market for new offerings and provide customers with faster, safer, and more convenient payment options.

Dr Reda Helal, Group Managing Director, Processing, Africa at Network International, described the deal as a “significant milestone” in expanding digital financial services in Libya. NUB CEO Ahmed Sultan added that the partnership would help the bank advance its digital strategy and deliver innovative, customer-centric solutions.

For Network International, the agreement underscores its strategic ambition to deepen its presence in the MEA region and collaborate with key financial institutions to deliver next-generation payment infrastructure.
