Saudi Arabia is rapidly cementing its position as a global leader in artificial intelligence (AI), guided by the ambitious vision of Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. With bold investments, advanced infrastructure, and strategic partnerships, the Kingdom is driving an AI-powered economic transformation that aligns with its long-term sustainability and innovation goals.
At LEAP 2025, the Kingdom announced $14.9 billion in AI and emerging technology investments. Major commitments included Microsoft’s $2 billion+ AI data center, Groq’s $1.5 billion initiative, and Salesforce’s $500 million program to train 30,000 Saudis by 2030.
The launch of HUMAIN, a PIF-owned national AI company, further underscored this momentum. Backed by agreements with NVIDIA, AWS, and Cisco, HUMAIN will build AI factories, establish a dedicated AI Zone, and launch a research institute at KAUST, positioning Saudi Arabia as a global hub for smart projects.
Saudi Arabia’s role in shaping the AI era was also reinforced by the visit of US President Donald J. Trump, who arrived with more than 100 American tech CEOs in May. The historic delegation catalyzed groundbreaking partnerships and new investments, reflecting global confidence in the Kingdom’s business environment and digital future.
The Kingdom’s AI strategy is built on three pillars:
