UAE Ministry of Education Launches Digital Tuition Fee Platform for Expat Students

The UAE Ministry of Education has launched a new digital tuition fee payment system for expatriate students enrolled in government schools who do not hold Emirati ID cards or official residency documents, according to Emarat Al Youm.

Outlined in a recent circular to public school administrations, the initiative is part of the ministry’s wider strategy to digitise services and streamline administrative operations across the education sector. The platform enables parents and guardians to make online tuition payments securely through the ministry’s official website, marking a significant step toward a paperless, cash-free education ecosystem.

How to Pay Fees Online

Parents can access the service at www.moe.gov.ae using their child’s student ID number. The process involves nine straightforward steps, starting from selecting “Payment of Tuition Fees” under the “Important Links” section. After logging in with UAE Pass and a registered mobile number, users can choose “Pay for Another Person,” input the student’s ID, confirm the amount, and complete the transaction.

Upon successful payment, an electronic receipt is automatically generated and shared both on-screen and via SMS to the registered phone number. The ministry confirmed that bank transfers and manual deposits are no longer accepted, except through authorised charitable organisations. Parents were cautioned against making personal or direct transfers, as the official website is now the sole authorised payment channel.

New Student Dismissal Procedures

In a related move, several government schools have begun piloting new student dismissal systems, inviting feedback from parents and students to enhance safety and operational efficiency.

Three dismissal options are currently permitted — school bus, private car (guardian or driver), or on foot. Students walking home must carry a designated exit card and have written parental consent for verification.

The feedback survey seeks input on traffic flow, road safety, dismissal timings, and overall procedural clarity. School authorities said the insights will shape future dismissal policies to ensure a safe, efficient, and family-friendly process. The initiative reinforces the ministry’s commitment to strengthening parent-school collaboration and creating a secure, well-organised learning environment.
